Hi Val
All tonights photo's are of an area of the camp where this family from Eritrea are living, we lost count of the names of the brothers in law, sisters etc as everyone pitches in together in an ever changing way, they are such a cohesive family group that it was difficult to know whose children were whose, they were desperate to share the small amount of food that they had with us, sadly we had other shelters to finish but tomorrow is another day...
pic no 1 this little pair are just the most lovely children imaginable, we completed their home for them this afternoon,
Pic 2 view from the new house - sunset behind the fence, razor wire along the top & a never ending police presence which always feels stressful
pic 3 view in opposite direction of tent city with riot police hiding behind their shields in the distance - why? we're not sure, we have seen no aggression aimed at anyone yet. There are people who are visibly very traumatised, for some this is the first place they've felt safe for a long time.
pic 4 The Eritrean building team with Sid, it was a hard job to get in there & use tools ourselves, everyone was desperate to excel in their skills! tomorrow we will bring blankets to line the walls with.
Remember we still meed money for Laura and Sid please keep it coming.
