Eighty years of the restaurants that when started were basically for lorry drivers called " Les Routiers" Over that time they have been known for good value food at reasonable prices. They were started by Francois de Salieu in 1933. In 1970 a UK based company started " Les Routiers" in Britain and each year there is an award for the best Routier restaurant.. The company has also over the time diversified in to travel guides and books
