Stressed, sad, the world turning the wrong way? poetry helps.

Vals says we need to boost our numbers especially in the winter months. We are a group in the winter of six ladies who meet in the centre of St. Antonin once a month. Why not come on a trial basis and see if you enjoy the meeting and like me drive home calmed.
Can you believe it is a year today since Doreen Porter stalwart of FIFI(Friends in France
International)  passed away.
Doreen enjoyed the group as long as we did not discuss daffodils. A nasty experience at school with Wordsworth which took her a long time to recover from, but recover she did and we miss her contributions to the group.
A free trial meeting and if you have enjoyed then 15 euros a year to join FIFI is all that is asked. It also opens up access to all the other groups and activities which are numerous.
POETRY GROUP – DO JOIN US

Forget those school days when you hated ‘stuffy’ poetry.  Why not
come along to our group meetings now and give it another try?   We
encompass all types of poetry from classics to modern, which we read
out and discuss in not too serious a manner.   The next meeting will
cover the Rossetti family but our future programme is likely to
include the lyrics of Bob Dylan following his recent Nobel prize for
Literature, rap poetry, modern poems for children and any subject
members care to choose, even their own work.    Doreen’s favourite
was David Essex and Jean is going to introduce us to a young Welsh
poet, so plenty of variety.   Next meeting is Monday 28th November.
