I have just contacted the dept for works and pensions in Gateshead, they have confirmed no winter fuel payments will be made to France from this year.

Val says I think we all knew winter fuel payments for us was a lost cause but it is galling. We love the winter here whatever. Don your thermal vests, long johns, extra sweaters and honestly life is great. Sex life suffers, it takes so long to get all that kit off at our age, you fall asleep with the exhaustion of it all but the "wild life"otherwise is wonderful.
