Jean Pierre Petitfaux (60) was arrested and charged with the murder of two people by shooting them outside their home at Foulayronnes near Agen (Lot et Garonne) last week. He was incarcerated in Agen but was found hanged in his cell. He had admitted the charges, but claimed he had intended to kidnap the husband but panicked when the wife called the police. The man was apparently disgruntled after being sacked from his job at a local building firm.
