13th November will be remembered as the day of the Paris atrocities when 130 people were murdered by extremist terrorists. Today, one month later, a requiem mass will be held to honour the memory of the victims. The mass will be at 16h (4pm) in the church at St Antonin and will be accompanied by music including a performance of the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. The choir is made up of singers from local groups, with Geof Cryer conducting and singing the baritone solos; Marietta Kenkel will sing the Pie Jesu and the organist is Genevieve Foccroule.
The church has been cold for rehearsals, but may have some heating today - but wrap up warm if you are going.
