PSG won the football league and the celebrations started in Paris. Sadly " ultras" people who had been banned from matches for various reasons vowed to cause trouble and that they did. The talk now is as the " ultras" had sworn to disrupt the celebrations so why was there not more plans in place for control. The Police Chief said he had 800 gendarmes on the streets.
Contrast that with a quarter of a million Manchester United supporters saying farewell to Sir Alex all on the streets of Manchester.
On the programme " Have I got news for you " it was joked " A quarter of a million Alex Ferguson supporters came on to the streets of Manchester and brought London to a halt " Manchester United supporters are all around the world, not just in Manchester is the inference.
