A film by Robert Enrico made in 1973 starring Romy Schneider, what a beautiful lady and Philippe Noiret. The film is set between Montauban and Bruniquel and there are some interesting shots, making you realise once again what a beautiful part of France we live in. Based loosely on the theme of German soldiers leaving Montauban in 1944 and incorporating the idea of what happened at Oradour. A film purely fiction, in French without English subtitles.
I started to watch it whilst Malc was out at bridge, only to discover it did not work, breaking up half way through. Malc had the idea to try it on another DVD player that was not as sensitive and so we settled down last night to check it out. I am pleased to report that it worked, so we have a few takers for a showing. Let me know if there is anyone else interested in watching and then we will work out a date suitable.
