The garden, part jungle being tamed is just awash with colour, iris blue, purple, pink and yellow. The roses mainly the red at this stage are so fresh and beautiful. The wisteria nearly past its best but still with a wonderful scent. In the hedges the wild pink and white roses have appeared, the acacia is flowering with white blossom and seeds floating down in to the courtyard. Every where you look is green and lush. I love opening the pool to get the contrast of the lovely blue water, probably swimmable by the end of the week. The strawberry beds are doing well without the intervention of Penny the hen, who picked even the smallest new strawberries coming. She was often a strawberry stuffed hen. The dogs have been asleep together on the steps whilst we worked. The donkeys are asleep in a buttercup meadow next to us. The cats are asleep on the straw bales and the kestrels, well the hard work for them feeding young continues.
It is bliss on this day in May at Mas del Sol.
After lunch
went to finish the mowing to discover the sit on lawn mower repaired in the winter is leaking petrol everywhere again. The waxing lyrical stopped at that point. Imagine how long it will be to get the repair man out to redo the work at this time of the year. grrr! and I cannot tell the grass to stop growing. Unlike Malc it will just does not listen!
