Air France pilots to move

Air France is to close its bases at regional airports, including Toulouse. For the last 5 years pilots have been based at Nice, Marseille and Toulouse in order to allow Air France to fly direct to other countries without having to return planes to Paris each night.
Now no direct flights involve returning to the regions as the low cost arm Hop! takes over more internal journeys. All Air France pilots will be based in Paris from October as the airline says the move did not yield the results desired. No pilot job losses are involved, though presumably if no planes overnight there will be implications for ground staff.
