The Varenly Regatta 2016

The tents are going up in Henley in readiness for the famous Henley regatta, but in our neck of the woods the new Commodores Mimi and Kevin Scragg tell me they have fixed the date for Wednesday the 24th of August here in Varen.

 This will be the Regattas 14 th year.
More info from the two as we get nearer the date but note it now.
Below our grand daughter had her sights set on winning the childrens event and she spent the days beforehand practising with a look of sheer determination... thankfully she won!
As I recall a great day with the usual spills and thrills and as always over a hundred out for the picnic... less for the racing.
