Just heard that tomorrow a lawyer who speaks Arabic is telling the couple with the newly born baby living in a tent in Calais, their choices. The mother and baby have been offered accommodation in Calais but the young father would have to stay in the squalor of the camp. Then there is our offer to them to come to SW France.
As the couple want to got to England, even though it can never happen, I think they are unlikely to decide to come here. Either way it sounds as if safety for the mother and child will be ensured which is all we want.
