Yesterday Malc and I knew we lived in the most beautiful place, the sun was shining, the colours of the vines and trees round about are beautiful. We have a privileged life.
Not so sadly for thousands of people fleeing for their lives in other countries around the world. I went to see Laura and Sid yesterday to help fill their bus to go to Calais on the 2 nd of Nov to build house structures for 10 days. I was delighted to hear a fit lady TAG reader had offered to go with them and help. It takes some courage to leave a cosy life and go and help others not so fortunate, in that hell hole that is the Calais jungle.
Laura and Sid pay everything themselves for the trip, petrol and accommodation but they do need money to buy the wood for building. Laura is looking at setting up a crowd funding site but in the meantime you may like to send a donation to help. It may be a second donation but the situation makes us not too proud to ask. Also you may want to encourage Sid with the hat and Laura with the smile with an email.
