Never plain sailing with donkeys

Whilst I was delivering bags of great stuff to Laura and Sid to take to refugees this afternoon, Malc after a Drs appointment went to Unicor in Varen.
There he saw Maxime, the young man who took on the responsibility of the donkey Coco. Coco if you remember, a number of us paid to have him castrated so he could enjoy life to the full in a new home with a donkey friend. Now I can hear  my male readers thinking, life to the full after being castrated!
It would have been very difficult to find him a good home without doing this.
We keep checking on the donkeys progress, and here is todays report.

Coco has got mange! an unsightly condition making him look rather scruffy. Not only that but he has passed it on to Maxims donkey Babouche.  Also Babouche is still being jealous and still will not let Coco into the stable!!
My heart sank.. but there was a plus.
Maxime  takes the two donkeys out working together and this was going well. Maxime already has trained Babouche to pull a cart and he wants the two donkeys to work together.
Maxime knows as I do that it is early days and in time the two will be inseparable.
