Sad tales from Greece

I have just read on "Calais and beyond" a site on facebook the most horrific account of refugees arriving  on a little Greek island in their thousands. An aid worker writes of the horror of everyday events of illness and death. Babies being lost overboard, mothers dying from hunger and tiredness and just giving up, father and children crying over the body. Elderly and young  men with broken legs, hunger where people have not eaten for days. Humanitarian services being totally overwhelmed by the sheer numbers.
What is going to happen to all these people with colder weather coming?
Many of our readers are retired and I know do not have a lot of disposable income but if you have a bit of money  spare, that can help these people, please do it now.
Jacky Malotaux who drove to Greece with medicines and bedding has just sent 200 ponchos to help keep the travelers dry.

Thanks
