It was very noticeable the number of young people having fun with their families making the Regatta a real ''family'' day. Ten years ago there was a bunch of friends, many newly arrived just having reached the age of retirement, and some of us taking early retirement. Now a lot of younger families are appearing and trying their hands at making a living here. There were families with grandchildren on holiday yesterday but also lots of young people who live here all year round and they are the future of the place, and of course of the Regatta.
