Watching English TV, a snail Professor doing a project on how fast snails can move warned " do not let your dogs eat snails or slugs " some may have a parasite apparently which would be harmful. He said foxes in the wild eat snails, our Twister eats everything including stones but I have never seen him do more than sniff a snail.
It made me wonder about us eating our snails in garlic, maybe when the snails are purged and cooked the parasite is killed
