Doreen Porter tells us about the label

Writers in TAG

We’re a creative and talented lot here. The artists, photographers and cooks already have their slots on TAG. Now it’s time for the writers to showcase their work.

Send in your fiction, non-fiction, poetry or even a chapter of that book you’re writing, and we’ll publish the best on TAG. With Steven Spielberg and Co in the area, who knows who might see it? Ideally, fiction and non-fiction pieces should be less than 1,500 words, poetry around 20 lines. Submissions must relate, in some way, to France, although not necessarily to this area, and must be your copyright.

Either send them to the usual TAG address or to me at doreen.porter8@orange.fr.  It’s frustrating writing something for which you have no outlet, Now’s your chance to be read and appreciated by a wider audience. I look forward to reading them.

Our first contribution is from Judith Reynolds of St Antonin, who recounts her amusing and intriguing “Visit to the Souffleuse”. It begins:

‘It was the start of the summer, the days were growing warmer and the visitors would soon be arriving. I had been feeling tired and run down for days and had now discovered a painful, itchy rash. “Ah,” I said to myself, “looks like shingles”.’

Val says Thanks to Doreen for thinking of this new addition to TAG, giving writers a chance to show off their work.
Also thank you to Judith Reynolds for  bravely having the first piece of writing on, to show to us all.Click on the ''Writers in TAG'' label to read more.
