Jean's famous recipe for baked onions and cheese sause.

Where did you find that article,I have mentioned to friends here that we are
having onions for supper and they just wish me luck, here is the very simple
recipe.
I take three onions for each of us,medium size.
A good slice of tasty cheese grated
Two tablespoons of flour, plain or self raising, does not matter, whatever is handy.
Milk.
Peel and boil the onions  until soft right through but not disintegrating.
Make your white sauce, medium consistency and add a dessertspoon of
English mustard, add the grated cheese and pour over onions which are now
tucked into an oven dish, cover with sauce and place in oven until top is
brown, forget to mention to sprinkle a little grated cheese over the top.
Eaten with bread and butter, homemade bread of course and you will be in
seventh heaven,it is truly a comforting dish, hope you like it as much as our
family.. You can put salt when boiling the onions but I do not  use but that is your choice
Val says  Jean is talking about the article with Tom, her son below.
