Why is Jackie going to Athens on a mercy mission?

I have just spoken to Jackie on the phone and the first question was why?
Jackie has a sister living in Greece and married to a Greek. The couple have reported to Jackie on the situation which is already dire for the Greek people, never mind the now  more than 50,000 migrants.
Jackie is married to a Dr. and it was his suggestion that everyone empties their medical cabinets and they take as much medicine, bandages, betadine, etc. that they can. Bedding and towels are also needed.
The couple had planned on a driving visit to Athens for a month so feel this is a good way to help people in Greece and migrants as well. In fact anyone who is in desperate need of help.
I have said I will coordinate collections from this area and make a delivery before 28th of August.
Jackie has promised she will let us know the situation on her return.
Aid  of medicines ( I am off to the chemist tomorrow to buy bandages, betadine and the like) please if you can get it to us at Mas del Sol.

From Varen take the main road towards Laguepie, then turn left onto the D20, Verfeil road. At 400 metres turn right (signposted St Martial). 400 metres further take the right fork towards Mas del Sol - look for the little sheep sign for La Bergerie. Climb 2kms until you see La Bergerie group on the left, with white gates. You can enter the parking area  30metres further on.

From Verfeil

Take the main D20 towards Varen and the St Martial sign is the last on the left - then proceed as above.

Please do not go to St Martial - you will get lost unless you know the way. In desperation phone us on 0563640673
