We are not just here for the weather which we all know is better than in the UK or Holland. We love the relaxed life style, the empty roads, French foods, boulangeries, boucheries.
We love our French neighbours, we all have tales of kind deeds they do for us or we do for them. We try harder with neighbours I think than we did in the UK. We want to be liked and so we learn to speak the language, some with difficulty, but we try.
We just love the life ... and I know I speak for most of us.
