Lucky escape for local man

Alain Bouscayrol, a resident of Mirandol-Bourgnounac,  was cutting trees for firewood and in attempting to pull out an up-rooted tree with his tractor was thrown to the ground and trapped under the fallen trunk. Unable to move anything except his right foot Alain had no option but to wait. Four hours later his wife found him. He knew that any attempt to move the tree could be fatal so insisted the pompiers be called. It took them another 4 hours, using specialist equipment, to free him. After a week in hospital a relieved M Bouscayrol is back at home.
