Many specialist medical appointments can be made on line at a new site www.doctolib.fr . You can search by name of establishment, type of service required (eg ophthalmo; dermatologue etc) and town. You can make a rendez-vous on line as the specialists' appointment diary is available - though no doubt there are off-line opportunities for urgences and repeat consultations. The site is probably, as its name suggests, for doctors operating privately and you may not need a referral from your GP.
Not all specialists are members of the site, but others in the town are listed with their contact details even though no on-line bookings are possible.
Looking for an appointment with our dermatologue the soonest is 13 March 2017, so will try to get through by phone to ask for a "rappel" sooner.
