SNCF unions have announced that the strike will be continued into its ninth day this Thursday. Many of us have been directly affected trying to find trains for the shorter TER (intra regional trains). Last weekend, for example it appeared that there were no trains on the local line to Toulouse. Yesterday we had put in place a meeting and transfer of a passenger from Montauban to St Antonin, only to wait in vain because the particular train had been cancelled.
The SNCF TER web site is generally clear on which trains are cancelled and when there is a "minimum service guaranteed", usually by providing buses.
Click the link to go to Midi Pyrenees site. It can be a bit daunting in French, though the main SNCF site for TGV and Intercity trains does have some English links.
