Our first baby kestrel 2016

Malc showed me this and I thought the bird was blind! Malc assures me he has seen him with his eyes open and blinking. Behind him there are at least another two. Look at the mess at the front, pooh and unpalatable bits of mouse. The noise from the nest is now amazing as the parents fly in to feed. Can you see the beginnings of new smart feathers just starting to appear.
So exciting seeing these birds develop.
Out in the field Rosie after two days has come in to season
en chaleur and the donkey antics have commenced.
