Councillors and maires around Toulouse east have voted to remove the péage at L'Union on the A68. The stretch costs 1.50 euros for about 5 kilometres and seems to be the only paid section on the Toulouse/Albi motorway. It is claimed to be the second most expensive stretch in France. Quite how the suppression of the paid section would affect the operator, Vinci, is not made clear.
