Last night's bridge session at the Bar Bascule, Caylus was notable for several reasons. A delivery of Naomi Westbury's delicious English-style pork and leek sausages was the source of some envy; a delighted and surprised winning pair; a slightly delayed start as one player thought the start time was 30 minutes later than the rest (5pm please) and news of a TGV trip to Barcelona from Montauban, first class for little over 50 euros each way. Check up SNCF website for details of what sounds like a bargain.
By the way, any bridge players, present or potential, please note the Bar Bascule is closed next week.
