A night in Versailles

Three of the "smaller" buildings in the grounds of France's most magnificent royal palace are to be renovated into luxury hotels. Developers are invited to present plans to take the run down residences and former offices of state under Louis XIV and renovate and modernise them to attract well heeled tourists who wish to spend the night at the palace.
Most tourists at the site thought it a good idea to help preserve  the patrimoine in this way, though did not want over-commercialisation. Local hoteliers questioned thought the rooms would be too expensive to affect them. The only people who were slightly dubious were some employees currently lodged in apartments in the buildings.
