The Dubec family in Arthes, a village east of Albi in the Tarn valley, took a Jewish refugee family into their home when fleeing from the Nazis. At that time the local
milice were actively seeking Jewish families and the Dubecs allowed the Ashe family to use their premises for their tailoring workshop at great risk to themselves.

The Ashe family subsequently moved to the USA, but this week son Michel returned 66 years later to an emotional meeting with his childhood friends.
