One of Paris's major museums, the Cite des Sciences, suffered a major blaze to some parts of the site which are being developed into a 110 million euro shopping mall. Built on the site of a former slaughterhouse the museum, a bit like London's Science Museum, attracts over 3 million visitors a year.
The blaze broke out during the night and involved some 120 firefighters, two of whom were injured.
No fire alarms were activated as the particular part was a building site.
