Do you know I cannot think of many worse things than being in the President's shoes today at Carmaux. As soon as he appeared he was met with boos and hisses and ladies grabbing his hand time and again to tell him they were out of work and what did he propose to do. How do I know all this?
I have watched a video clip in the Depeche (missed the evening's local news) He managed against the odds to keep his composure but it cannot be much fun at the moment if that is the reception he receives everywhere... and I am sure it will be.
Jobless figures need to improve before voters will be kinder.
