We are proud guardians, the kestrels eggs have hatched.

I was letting out Henny and Penny and giving the donkeys their morning "grey bucket" feed. Not that they need the feed it is more a training tool, and anyway I love the way they cry and pant and hee haw as I approach, so sweet. As I stood chatting to them, both the  kestrels swooped over my head with mouths stuffed with tasty morsels for those chicks. I have come back from the fields to write this and watch the kestrels swooping in and out. On the terrace of the gite new arrivals from England were out watching donkeys and birds, what a treat they are in for regardless of weather, assuming they like birds and donkeys of course.
Time for your camera Malcolm, and we will have now 3 weeks of photo shoots before fledging.
