What's in a name ?

We have visitors coming for a ''barbie '' this evening and they are people that make me smile. From the North is  'wor lad', a man of courage. He has to be,  he got a rescue cat from Chats de Quercy and proceeded to call it NELSON. They live in a small French village and are the only English speakers about , well that is if you can call a chap from Sunderland English speaking. I have lovely visions in my head of him going out on a night shouting NELSON, NELSON  up the street. I wonder if anyone ever shouts back Napoleon, to you mate ?[ a toi mon ami ]
Then Roger with his new dog, a very happy bonding this one, with Monty becoming the apple of Roger's eye. Roger being from a military family way back, well his Grandad received the Military Cross and was something with a ''C'' Colonel, Captain not Commodore , anyway -  who is a hero of Rogers , you have guessed Montgomery Clift [ Roger loves old films] but that is a joke as well as of course it is ''Old Monty'' So Roger's rescue dog could not have a better name. If you see Monty wearing military medals though  they will not be from the lady  vet,  as there was a bit of a fracas when Monty needed an injection. We have checked with the previous vet and there has never been a problem before which is good news, so we think Monty is a bit of  a blokes dog, prefers all chaps together.
Malc says Rogers Grandad was a Major
