In a study by PriceWaterhouseCoopers classifying cities throughout the world in order of attractiveness from a series of points of view Paris is placed fourth overall. Not just quality of life, where the French capital is equalled only by New York, but innovation and entrepreneurship which places it seventh, and many other criteria are taken into account. In terms of attracting and accommodating tourists Paris is unequalled, but its performance in creating jobs and attracting business places it well down the list. Parisians also face a cost of living the fourth most expensive among world cities.
The top four are London, Singapore, Toronto and Paris.
