What a great day was had by all, the sun shone and the contestants were fighting fit. The Children's final between Madison McCarthy and her sister Lydia was a very close call but Madison just pipped Lydia to the post to take the cup. The adults final was also very close with Frank McCarthy and Tilly Scragg beating Kevin, Gill & Meg the dog to take home the Cup making it a very successful day for the McCarthy family. A special mention must go to Catherine Cullen who after being a reluctant competitor was drawn to double up for some races, as we were short of females and she ended up taking part in nearly every race, Catherine was presented a special cup for Sportsmanship, thank you Catherine.
Many people stayed to enjoy a picnic by the river and a game of Boules.
