Restaurants are open

Good morning Val, sorry to hear of your troubles on Thursday, we had a similar experience last Saturday but that was because they were all full.

For your future reference and everyone else.  O Berges de l'Assou the restaurant in Monteils is open all year - everyday except Monday.  We had a lovely lunch there yesterday and would give it a TOF score of 5 out of 5.  It is now owned and run by the former chef of the Hotel Longcombe.  The food is wonderful, freshly cooked, really good flavours and you can have a 3 course lunch with wine and coffee for 16 euros.  Two courses for 14 euros and a plat de jour for 8 euros.  Definitely worth booking 05 65 81 57 94. We went there for lunch yesterday and it was 3/4 full.

Malc says: all the restaurants we visited are open all year, but had chosen the same week to have an end-of-season holiday or start a winter timetable. Ironically the restaurant we ate at does usually close for winter. Thank you for the info about Monteils, though we generally like to be no further than 10 minutes from home.
