i can quash one rumour that the prefect supplied them all with new bikes, some sad people around if they actually believe this sort of thing and are happy to pass it around. If you have heard this rumour and not said " rubbish" or even passed it on, feel ashamed of yourselves.
I and others are asking for bikes and we are lucky to have others who will help fix them up.

Their bikes and clothes which also do not come from the prefecture are donations from the more caring ones amongst us. Received with our and their thanks.
Today Malc and I are invited to the home of two young men installed in Montauban with new lives ahead of them and we have all helped them on their way.
