What a wonderful morning and the promise of a hot day for the Tour de France passing through, enjoy everyone.
I have my work cut out to welcome many guests mainly French who are all friends and supporters of our Saint Antonin refugees to us known as " the Rehoboth Family"
Tables and chairs, barbecues will all be moved by the boys to one central spot by the pool. The young people of Verfeil have given us a halal killed lamb to cook, 8 live chickens as a present are arriving today to be killed halal style ( I may become vegetarian)
Tonight we will be celebrating for the first time ever the Muslim festival of Eid and spreading love and happiness as we go.
Why do you and Malc do this we are asked often?
So easy to answer. These young men came needing help from Calais and everyone who is coming tonight came together to help other people in need. We then discovered that as the boys settle and start to form relationships, learn French and get ayslum, they still need friendship and support.
We are not going to let them down now... a job for life, always there if the young men need our support.
The hope: that they carry on our love and friendship with others in the world.
