This seems to be the attitude of the French towards us Brits. Having lunched today At Verfeil, La Seye et Vous, the menu was beef casserole. We had to joke is it beef or horse, ? which sent Charlie the owner into a real tizz. What is wrong with us making such a fuss about horse, it is delicious, what a fuss about nothing. We will get no sympathy from the French on this subject. We were relieved that the next customers he served were French and they joked exactly the same thing, perhaps on the nth. customer the joke wears thin.
I must add as always he did it so charmingly who could not like him ?
