Spanghero at Castelnaudry has been found guilty by the authorities of fraud and their licence to trade has been taken from them, presumably putting all their workers out of a job. They bought horse from the Dutch company Draap and then passed it on to the next company in Luxembourg as beef. Horse meat is 30% cheaper than beef. Spanghero refute the claims and say they thought they had bought beef.
