France tops the world list for the number of hostages now in captivity, with 15 hostages held.
The latest French family with 4 children were visiting the Waza National Park in Cameroon a few kilometres from the Nigerian border. The French Ambassador to Mali has said 17 million was paid out to hostage takers in 2010 and the hostages were never released. The French Government deny this statement. One thing you know if any country pays the hostage taking will continue.
