Paris under threat

This famous statue on the Pont de l'Alma is used by Parisians as an unofficial marker of the depth of flood water in the Seine in Paris. The soldier was saved from the original stone crossing to be installed on the new steel construction.
The water level is such that no passage under the bridges is possible and the famous museums by the river, including the Louvre, are moving basement stock to a higher level.
Not as bad as 1910 yet
