Susan Stapleton
I am sorry to inform you that Susan Stapleton has died at the age of 86 after a long illness.
Susan lived in this area for more than forty years, latterly at St Michel de Vax.
She worked as a puppeteer in French schools and was very popular with the children.
Susan loved music, especially opera, and usually bought a season‘s worth of tickets for the opera, at the cinema in Gaillac, transmitted in HD from the Met in New York.
She had many tales to tell about the way of life here when she arrived, I especially remember that she said the old women would dress totally in black when widowed.
Her funeral will be at the crematorium in Montauban, on Tuesday, 8th September, at 11.30am.
