English Garden Show in France…
It is the second time we have organised this French version of the English garden show in Varen.
On Sunday 13 September we invite you to bring your most pretty vegetables, a special dahlia flower or a favourite rose to the Salle de Fete Claude Teil in Varen.
Patchwork, embroidery and knitting enthusiasts as well as garden photographers are invited to come too and compete in an amical way with other local amateurs.
It is a long list; there is a category for everybody to present his or her works of art.
The main rule is that it has to be “homemade” or “home grown”.
This includes as well various products made in the kitchen, like jams and cakes.
A jury of two per category will express their favourite.
The winners receive, besides a certificate, a gift voucher offered by local nursery gardeners or a gift voucher from local shop and restaurant owners.
Everybody is invited to visit the exposition in the afternoon (15.30-18.30 hrs). And the prize giving takes place at 16.30 hrs.
Tea and cakes made by the organizers will be available.
Participants are invited to bring their “products” in the morning of 13 September to the Salle de Fete Claude Teil (9.30-12.00 hrs.).
