I would be grateful if you would put the following plea on TAG
A somewhat bizarre request I know but worth a try . Our daughter is a keen cello player and loves any opportunity to play music with her Dad. She is visiting for a week in July but has decided against trusting her beloved instrument to the care of Ryanair. We have tried in vain to hire a cello for the week, is there any TAG reader with a spare cello sitting in a corner they would be willing to lend for a week. ( Non musicians may be surprised to imagine such a thing but believe me there is no end to what a musician will collect - before we moved to France we had a sousaphone in the garage which no-one in the house could play!)
