A cafe allongée is a small strong black coffee with about the same amount of hot water added. It should cost exactly the same amount as a petite café which can also be called expresso. A grande creme is a coffee with milk the same as café au lait. A noisette is a little coffee with a little milk and Malc's favourite is a demi which is not coffee at all but a glass of beer ( which is a quarter of a litre)
