The reader who is asking about coins... we recently sold an old banknote in auction at London Coins and found them to be very helpful and efficient. Not all old coins have value of course, but your reader could do worse than look at the March auction results (which are well illustrated) to get some idea. As ever with the things the devil is in the detail. I'd think London Coins will respond to good scans and clear descriptions - but suggest checking out the website to get an idea of what to look for, ideal image quality and how to describe.
