I am so proud, training pays off

All that training with the donkeys was worth it. I went out again and this time spotted the donkeys in a field past a French neighbours farm. The French man Michel came with me, I shouted the girls and clanged their buckets together as I normally do each morning. The little angels that they are,  came running and had their head collars put on and then walked sedately home with me and Michel. He recounted as we walked, tales of his male donkey ''entier'' with all its bits still dangling, and who when it escaped  looking for ladies was a nightmare. He was so impressed with my girls, that I felt really proud.A happy end to that story.
Another dilemma though, now on the hen front.
With all this mornings happening I forget to let Henny and Penny out. When I went a few minutes ago to do it, I found an egg with a small hole  and sucked dry in the nest and the straw all disturbed. Is it a rat or a mouse I wonder? I now need to check what other bedfellows my little feathered friends are sharing their bunk beds with. First day of Spring at 11.30am and I am exhausted.
Rosie, never keen to turn the corner and come home.
