Rail strike called for March 9th

All four unions with members in the rail industry have given notice of a strike on Wednesday 9th March, starting on Tuesday evening at 19h (7pm).
The railwaymen (cheminots) are wanting more staff - trains are being cancelled owing to lack of drivers - better pay and conditions and improved career options. This is the first time that all the unions have called a strike at the same time since 2013. Local Paris suburban trains will also be affected. Nothing is known at present about regional TER trains.
