What a beautiful sunny morning, the sun was out early, as I fed the donkeys at 7.30am.
What a lovely afternoon we had yesterday, a brief visit to French friends who have a second home in the outskirts of Paris. We discovered we were not the only ones helping refugees. Our French friend has been teaching French to a group of refugees from Tibet. In her group are 5 young men escaping the Chinese occuption of their area which has now been taken over totally by the Chinese.
Then off at speed to Verfeil where the Mayor there was welcoming with local residents, 14 refugees to his commune. The boys are only there for 2 weeks as they await their places in a CADA to become available.
The get together included as the Mayor said " an important and powerful lady from the Prefecture, Veronique Ortet" She is the lady who sent the boys to St. Antonin. A very amical meeting where the boys introduced themselves and said where they came from in French. The group of residents were were very welcoming and some said they were sorry that it was only for 2 weeks.
